Perfume Dress Code

How to wear perfume with style

Just as we choose our clothes according to occasion, mood and season, perfume also follows a dress code. Fragrances are more than accessories, they are the invisible wardrobe that completes our appearance. A fine fragrance can make the little black dress even more elegant, the summer suit even lighter and a cosy winter evening even warmer.

Spring – lightness & new beginnings

When nature awakens, we long for freshness and clarity. In spring, fragrances with green, floral and citrus notes are particularly fitting.

  • Ideal: citrus fruits, white flowers, fresh greens

  • Effect: sparkling, optimistic, light as the first ray of sunshine

  • When to wear: during the day, outdoor get-togethers, starting new projects

Summer – freshness & joie de vivre

The sun brings lightness and energy, but heat calls for subtle fragrances. In summer, we choose aquatic, fruity, citrus or light floral compositions that don't weigh you down.

  • Ideal: water and marine notes, melon, jasmine, citrus fruits, orange blossom

  • Effect: refreshing, invigorating, unobtrusive

  • When to wear: beach days, garden parties, summer evenings

Autumn – depth & elegance

The days grow shorter, the colours warmer. Now our fragrances may become spicier, woodier and more complex.

  • Ideal: amber, spices, patchouli, dried fruits

  • Effect: sensual, elegant, mysterious

  • When to wear: dinners, cultural evenings, walks through autumn leaves

Winter – intensity & comfort

In winter, we long for warmth and comfort. Perfumes may now be powerful, gourmand and deep – fragrances that wrap around us like a coat.

  • Ideal: oud, vanilla, sandalwood, honey, smoke, dark resins

  • Effect: luxurious, opulent, warm

  • When to wear: holidays, elegant evenings, intimate moments

Perfume as a dress code – the rules

  1. Day vs. evening scent: light notes during the day, more intense fragrances in the evening.

  2. Consider the occasion: subtle at the office, sensual at dinner, and at special events it may even be opulent.

  3. Less is style: a touch on the pulse points is enough. Style shows in restraint.

  4. Your own statement: a signature scent is like a tailored suit. It stays in people's memory.

Our recommendation

Our fragrances are like a wardrobe for the senses. Under "Season" on our product pages, discover which fragrance best underlines your personality in which season. Because style is not only about what you wear, but also how you smell for each occasion.
